With cumbersome wires coated in white,
It is you, my headphones, that save my days
From the outside world; you bring delight
And magical sounds to my ears all right;
Yet I have no idea the way
You perform this unbelievable sight
All I know is you aid in distracting me from homework at night,
Or listening to others in the day;
It appears plain rude, right?
But I don’t think it is; you drown out the world and create the opposite of white
Noise; it helps me cope with the way
Life is, because the world won’t stop the fight.
So I plug you into my devices and my ears; it’s quite
A familiar habit now; I may
Just have to use you all the time to keep my life bright.
