Long ago, there were two cats named Ako and Abell who went to school together. Ako was a very bright cat who excelled in all his classes except for math. His friend, Abell, was also a very smart cat who excelled in all his classes, but Abell did not do that great in science.
A three page math test had been scheduled, and Ako decided to start studying for it two days prior. He spent all his time that day studying, but while doing so, he encountered a mathematical term that he did not understand, so he decided to ask Abell for help.
“Hi Abell, I was wondering if you could help me for my math test?” asked Ako.
“I am sorry, but not now,” said Abell.
Ako walked away and tried to figure it out by himself, but, unfortunately, he could not. Both the cats went to school in the morning. Ako could not understand the mathematical term, so he went to Abell for help again.
“Could you please help me figure this out? I just do not get it,” asked Ako.
“Just go away; I am not going to help you!” Abell said in frustration.
Ako walked away and tried to figure it out by himself; this time he understood it. He studied more and more, and eventually he was prepared for his math test. Ako took his math test the next day and aced it. Abell, however, was studying for his science test. While studying, Abell got confused between two terms, so he went to Ako for help.
“Hi, Ako. I was wondering if you could help me with science?” asked Abell.
“Why should I help you?” Ako replied.
“Please?” Abell asked politely.
“When I came to you for help, you told me to go away. Now, I am going to tell you to go away and to figure it out yourself,” Ako told him.
While Abell was walking away, Ako said to him:
“Treat others the way you would like to be treated.”
