“Some people are so poor, all they have is money.”

This quote is very interesting to look at, because when someone sees the first part of the quote, they immediately think that it is referring to an amount of money, and they start thinking about all the bad things that poverty could give you. When they see the second part, they then realise that this is all a play of words, that it is not referring to how much wealth you have, but rather how much wealth is in your heart.

Some people might be billionaires, but still be poor, in the sense of being deprived of love or humbleness in their hearts. It doesn’t how much money a person has; these qualities of life could not be bought.

This brings up another quote: “Can money buy you happiness?”

I’ve once seen a social experiment setup by an actor to test who will be the most willing to give money to a lost person. When he approached people of wealth, he was disregarded right away, while, at last, when he tried it with homeless people, every single one of them gave to him. This video really changed the way I look at the world and shows that people that has the most little gives the most. Sometimes you have to stop thinking about money, and just enjoy the simple things about life. Maybe for just one moment, think about how precious life is, and how lucky we are to live in a safe society where most people’s lifestyles are accepted.

Life is not only for yourself, but is also an opportunity to help others in need, and leave the world as a better place than you found it.

Because “no one has ever become poor by giving.”
