He Was Born With a Strange Craving for Slugs and Desire for Power

He was born with a strange craving for slugs and a desire for power. His name was Zelda Green and he was a gardener with a dream for control. He was born on Friday the 13th, 1982, in the south of Peru. He was a triplet but he ate both his sisters in the womb. Zelda was not the average boy. When he was growing up, he would go into the garden and eat slugs. That’s where his love for gardening began. His love for slugs got him the most fulfilling job ever as a gardener, for he could eat as many slugs as he wanted everyday. It was not just that fact that he ate slugs that made him the most bizarre kid on the playground. The thing that made him strange was the fact that he was not fully human…

I’m getting ahead of myself. Let’s head back to the story.

Ever since Zelda was a little boy, he wanted power. He always wanted to be the captain of the dodgeball team in gym class. Whenever he was in a group project in school, he would be the leader. Even though he already was the owner of a gardening company called Zelda Green Gardening, he wanted more power. He wanted to be the president of United States; but the only thing is — that would expose his true nature.

He had been running from the government since he was very young. The government knew that he was not fully human, and wanted to experiment on him and his kind. Zelda constantly was changing his name and moving around. He went from Peru to Paris, from Canada to Italy, England, Texas, the middle of the sea, New York, Tokyo, Mexico…he had to keep running and running. Everywhere Zelda went, they found him. He went through dozens of names: Mario, Stan, Gorro, Gibber, Pia. The list went on and on. He had to stay under the radar so the government could not find him once again. He knew that one day they would.

It was another normal day for Zelda, who woke up at 7:15 and went straight to work. For lunch at McDonald’s, he ate a double Big Mac. On his way back home, he decided to take a shortcut through an alley.

All of a sudden, several men donning government badges jumped out from behind the dumpsters. Zelda started to run but they were right behind him. It was a trap! He ran as fast as he could, but tripped. A knife came down, missing him by mere inches. He took off.
