My Everything by Sydney B.

Note: These are a few poems selected from a poetry book I wrote for someone special to me – Sydney B.

Words of love spill out of my mouth,

Jumbling up like a puzzle.

Thus I resort to my pen and paper to allow all the

Words of love my brain can’t express aloud.

The rain falls for him.

The sun shines for him.

The birds sing for him.

The universe holds him in the palm

Of its hand,

Waiting for the girl who makes the

World light up only for him.

I am here.

You are there.

If only we can

Bend time,

Allowing us to be

Together,

So the universe can

Once again

Shine.

Rain

  Falls

     Down

Drowning the streets with

Sorrow.

The collection of water flows to a

hole

Deep in the

ground

Where all the sorrow accumulates and

Sits.

After the Rain,

Sun follows,

Brightening up the

World,

Giving life to everything

After the downpour.

However,

The Rain always returns

When the Sun goes

away,

Staying until the next

Sunny

Day.

The sun rises for us.

The moon glows for us.

The river flows for us.

The stars shine for us.

But I light up

Only for him.

Never dimming.

I need

to talk to you,

But

  I can’t.

Twiggs are being

Snapped

and thrown into

A fire.

I can deal with

distance,

But I can’t deal with

Not hearing from

You.

Every

  Inch

     Of my body

        Longs for

           You.
